Learning from Number 8



Wow. Have you ever painted something that taught you a lot about your life? Hopefully all of you Wisdom Painters know what I'm talking about since that is what WP is all about!

Number 8 painting of my Numerical series has shown me some oh-so-not-so-good-news about me and my wealth. Yikes! What does it say to you?

The Flowering of Consciousness

I've watched a fantastic video by Eckhart Tolle, The Flowering of Consciousness, a two disc series. I'm reading his book right now too--A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life's Purpose. The point that sticks out to me is the idea of the pain-body. That is intriguing. I'm looking at how my pain-body reacts with other pain-bodies around me. Yikes, I think that it is acting out in some ways. Being aware is the first step in healing and dissolving the pain-body. Desire vs. Want

I'm reading and doing the exercises in the book, Feel It Real. Today's exercise was so enlightening that I needed to, wanted to, or ah .... desired to share it. The exercise was to write down your beliefs on desire. My mother tells the story of when I was a little girl of me jumping up and down on the bed singing "I want a wagon- sagon ". I wanted a red wagon so badly back then. I never got it. My Mom's heart ached because she could not buy it for me. Here's what I learned this morning. Wanting is so much different than desiring. Reflecting back on my little girl experience, I realized that wanting never leads to manifesting. I went to the dictionary to find out why.
